A Bluey Birthday!

If you’re a mom, then you are definitely familiar with the fun duo Bluey and Bingo. This cute little australian cartoon is on a constant loop in our household, and I think I enjoy it just as much as my daughter does. (LOL). I have been so excited to introduce this new theme to the shop! I knew it would be the perfect party theme for my daughters second birthday, but was a little disappointed with the party decor available considering how popular this show has become over the last several years. So of course I had to hit the design board!

We decided on a smaller family party this year, so I didn’t want to go too crazy on decorations. I had a few things in mind I knew I wanted to create, like a custom cake topper, chalkboard food signs, and of course, life sized cutouts of Bluey and Bingo. Since my little ones party was on her actual birthday, I decided to add balloons and a birthday banner as well. Since the only Bluey decorations I could find were all pretty boyish, I ended up DIYing almost all of our decorations. After a few late craft nights after the kids went to bed, I had made the most adorable girly Bluey birthday party!

I made a trip to Hobby Lobby where I had picked up the cute pastel checkered table cloth, some colored napkins, paper, string and foam board. I found this adorable Bluey and Bingo svg file from etsy that I had used for the birthday banner, and my live size cutout. I designed the birthday banner through cricut design space, and of course cut everything out with the cricut and glued everything together. For the cutout, I ordered a large poster through walgreens and glued that down on the foam board I had gotten. I used an exacto knife to cut all the way around the characters, then made a foamboard stand to glue on the back so my characters could stand upright. This turned out so cute, and was a huge hit with my toddler!

The last key party decoration, balloons! I found this super cute dog themed pastel balloon arch kit from amazon. With this kit alone, I was able to make one large balloon garland, and one smaller cluster. I had also added a number 2 balloon to go along with it as well. I think my toddler was the most excited about the balloons over everything else!

Overall, I think I spent right around $75 for everything party decor wise. Although it was more work, it still beats the prices of purchasing ready to go party decor! And makes it that much more special for the kiddos. Our Bluey theme was enjoyed for days by our birthday girl!
