Blogging… Let’s do this thing!
Let’s start off with an introduction into who is behind Sweeten Design Co. Hi, my name is Mollie. Your designer, creator, and owner of the business! I’m a mom to my one and a half year old daughter (soon to be two babes, #girlmom), who keeps me on my tippy toes, and wife to my hard working husband. We reside in the Pacific Northwest outside of Portland, OR.
After years of the hustle and bustle trying to find my fit in the working world, I was introduced to a fun new venture that seemed right up my alley. With the support of my amazing husband and family, we took a leap of faith and took over three super busy etsy shops Charlie Chalk Designs, Charlie’s Party Shop and Rustic Charlie Shop! As challenging as it was at first, working basically two full time jobs, it has been so fulfilling evolving this established business into my very own little baby. After 4 years (holy smokes… I still can’t believe that!) I’ve finally felt ready to start evolving the business into what I had envisioned when I took over in 2019.
I have been so fortunate to be able to stay home with my sweet little babe her entire life and never miss a beat. Something I will ALWAYS be so thankful for! It has also given me endless time to try to keep up with the ever evolving beast of social media. Boy has everything changed SO much from when I first took over this online based business. To say this has been my biggest challenge would be an understatement. It is so impressive what people have done to grow their small businesses into a hugely present online empire. It will continue to be my biggest goal to adapt to the times we are in and try to make this business even more successful than it’s ever been! Charlie Chalk Designs started out with products primarily focused in chalkboard styles, such as chalk labels and signs, and has evolved over the years to personalized cake toppers, tumblers and more. It felt appropriate to change the name and make it my very own- que Sweeten Design Co. I’ve established a very tiny (but mighty) presence on Tiktok and Instagram to give our customers and followers a little peak inside the products I create and how it’s done. But I just KNOW I can do better!
2024 is going to be all about learning new tools for online selling and social media. I have big ideas going into this new year.
